This is for anyone who is interested in the Lenovo S10: it's available from Frys.
I'm posting this small bit of info because I have been dying to see one in person (helps in the decision-making process). I've been able to test drive some other netbooks, but this is the one that I think I would like to purchase (couldn't test it though...till now!).
Found out today that they have it at Frys (a great store computer tech store, btw) in person. Hope this is some good news for those who need to see before they buy - I'm heading over tomorrow.
Just a little tidbit if anyone else is feeling the itch!
(BTW, I know it seems silly, but I needed to see the different sizes since I didn't have a point of reference for the size of netbooks - review videos are somewhat deceiving.)

This is a great netbook,
Great build quality, bright screen, fast boot, express slot.
Only issues I have with it are,
1. An express card will stick out 1/2" more than normal. (Ok considering size)
2. 3 cell battery, I get about 2 hours out of mine. 6 cell available @lenovo.com for $129
3. Fan gets pretty loud during heavy load.
(None of these are deal breakers IMO)
This netbook is solid. -

Good to hear, now newegg.com has the basic model for 349.99, which is better than the Lenovo site price.

Ouch, I paid $400 less than 30 days ago!
Thought I might be able to get the difference back, but that's not happening.
"Newegg.com does not offer any price guarantee, because industry prices change too often and too fast. If your order has not shipped, you can cancel the order online and re-order to take advantage of the new prices. All prices are as posted at the time of purchase."
/oh well
Still <3 my S10 -
How is typing on these keyboards? Is it at least close to a regular size keyboard?

Just found out that employee pricing at Lenovo gets me a basic S10 for $335! That means I have some cash to purchase a better battery! Wonder if Lenovo warned the other etailers about the price drop a little early so that could get out some stock.

Am I the only S10 owner who can't figure out...
1. what the gesture commands are for the touchpad?
(no info in User Guide or on Synaptics website)
2. how to use the camera?
(no info in user guide... only how to use function key to turn it off, nothing in Control Panel/Scanners and Cameras)
The User Guide looks like it was written before they had a real product. The Lenovo website's User Guide is just a PDF of the printer's proof-- crop marks and all.
I love my S10, tho I sorely miss my little red track-point friend.
I'm not a techie, just an ordinary user, but I really feel like I have looked in every reasonable place for this info. Why is it so hard to find?
Can anybody help? -
got one few days back for one of my staff its really nice, great features for the small baby
got it off ebay 2 weeks used but pretty nice -
I got the basic model at Fry's too and put in my own spare 160Gig HDD and 2Gig memory stick. I didn't want to pay extra since I had the spare memory and hard drive already. But it is a great little notebook specially when I am on the road on business trips and the keyboard is fine for me too.

Got the white basic S10 for $315 at newegg on dec 15 when they had 15% off sale. Put in a 2GB ram for $20. it's a great little machine.
