This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I'm interested to know also. Got the Critical email, responded, they sent an email back, got my T61, it's now being fixed. I'd like to know when people start getting these so I know when I should be writing them (if it doesn't arrive).

    I think it's only those who got the email, ordered a T61 on or before 5/25, and got a bad delivery date (August, Sept, eons from now). And I think you needed to respond to the email (and they send you a confirmation email saying they'll send it out).

    it seems like only those who got the email get a freebie. other people have complained that they didnt get an email and were turned away.
