    Hello.
I'll try to make it short:
I have no idea what all that Lenovo software are all about.
"active Care", "Access connections" and many others...
Since I have no knowledge on what they are and how to use them, I dont need them and defently, being an obssesive Idiot as i am, dont want them running in the background.
    i want a CLEAN system !
    The cleanest i can get.
    What can I do ? I am a maniak !
The Q is - can I format my laptop, and how should I do it ?
Should I use the old fashion way of running 'dos' and writing "format drive c" ?
As i understand there is another way - using the lenovo buton when you start up your system.
But - is that a rewriting, or is it actually deleting every thing and building it from the start with me choosing what i want (which is the option i prefer) ???
If there is an already link available - that would be fine.
Any suggestion will be very wolcomed !!!
    Thanks a lot ! :)

You'll need a Windows disc. The recovery discs just put it back the way it was. What notebook do you have.

    I got an the 3000 Series N100 - 0768-BLG.

I didnt quite get what you are saying:
"The recovery discs just put it back the way it was".

But cant I press the Lenovo button when the computer starts and then choose "restore the computer to when it left the factory" and then choose whatever Programs i want ?
Isnt this a good way of deleting everything and getting a "new" system ?
    Thanks.

All of those programs were there when it left the factory. The only way is to somehow get your hands on a copy of the correct OS cd. Borrow from a friend?

There isn't that many ThinkPad applications running in the background unless you enabled a bunch of stuff. You can go into Add/Remove programs and remove the utilities you don't want to use. Then go into MSCONFIG and see what's being loaded at startup.
