Try this: Look at the left side of the lcd screen. Past the diagonal lines indicating the antenna in there, look at the little notch of plastic that sticks out to help lock the lid in place when you close it.

Put your index finger about an inch and a half underneath that notch OUTSIDE the lid. Put your thumb in the same position but touching the inside of the lid (the side with the LCD panel). Now squeeze your thumb and index finger together.

Do you hear a nasty clicking sound? I'll take a video of it later... but I wanted to know if I was the only one.

    Nope, no problem with mine.
It is super tight, like it was made out of one solid piece.

I don't have that sound but I did notice that the bezel is a POS. I'm starting to not like the build quality of Lenovo.

    Really? How come?
    Mine is a freaking tank.
My dad's has a weird bulge near his fingerprint reader (he has the T61 just like mine + fingerprint) and near the LCD cable the plastic bulges up a little bit, but its a company machine so he doesnt care.

Mine does the same thing, that seems to be the only spot around the bezel that isn't solid though.

there have been many posts in regards to this. This seems to be an issue in a certain percantage of T61 users...my laptop does NOT have it, however, I did that to a few thinkpads at CDW and Best buy and they did have this same problem. If you just squeeze along the left bezel, it makes a hideous popping sound...ewwe

also try looking at your front right rubber pad...it probably doesn't stick down well, right? If you took a sheet of paper and slid it underneath, it will slide through, while on the other feet this won't occur

try searching left bezel pop or crack

I have the same problem, but it doesn't really bother me at all -- forgot about it until you brought it up actually
