    I was just wondering what time of day you received the confirmation email that your thinkpad was shipped. They are being shipped from Hong Kong I believe...so I am just wondering if they are sending the emails out during the middle of the Hong Kong day when the item is shipped which is night time in the USA or during the middle of the USA day (generally speaking).

    you'll get confirmation email after it was shipped.you'll get it anytime cause there's no such a thing as "working hours" for usa department.

    I got my email at 7:05 am MST on the 4th. It was processed and ready for pickup by UPS at 11:41 pm (??? time zone) on the 4th. I assume that was in China and that the international date line makes those times work.

    It was picked up at 9:34 am on the 4th in Shanghai. I know; the times make no sense unless we are operating on a UPS time at pick up.

    At any rate it got to Anchorage in about a day and to Lexington Ky in another day.

    I suspect it enters the UPS domestic system there. (btw, it is going to SCal)
