Hey guys. I just installed a clean copy of windows on my SDD. I also want to use the HDD that came with the computer. However do I just format it to make it brand new? It has that Lenovo Recovery and still windows on it.

You don't have to, but you'll gain more space by formatting the drive.

If you have created the Factory Recovery discs (1 CD/DVD boot + 3 DVDs data) from the stock HDD, and the HDD is to be used as a storage drive in conjunction with the new Windows-bootable SSD, then: yes, wipe out the HDD.

In detail, though, there are 2 partitions on the stock HDD: the OS partition, followed by the Lenovo Recovery partition. Delete the Lenovo Recovery partition. Extend the OS partition. Format the OS partition. Now, the HDD has a single, unpopulated partition.

Just curious, what is your arrangement? mSATA SSD + stock HDD in primary bay? Or, SSD in primary bay + stock HDD in UltraBay?

I will have to re format cause I did not delete the recovery...

SDD in the primary and HDD in the ultra bay.
