    Hi all,

I am currently using a T41. I have been holding out on buying a new T-series notebook until a screen with my needs comes out:
    - Standard ratio
    - Matt (not glossy)
    - 14 or 15"
    - Great brightness for outdoor work (LED)

A flexview with LED would be perfect. Anybody know of a notebook/screen that would fit my requirements (not Lenovo)? Anybody with insight re future Lenovo releases?

    Thx

I would highly doubt you'd be able to find another laptop touting the Flexview screen, as even Lenovo had trouble finding a supplier of them and gave up on providing them after the T60.

I don't think you can have the two on the same thing. LED is another type of panel, and Flexview (ISP) is LCD.
The Flexview is not in production anymore, but you can find it with some resellers. And also check out the Lenovo outlet for some Thinkpad T60 with flexview.

That's a very long shot. I don't think we'll see another flexview thinkpad, and if they decide to adopt LED, it'll probably be on a widescreen.

If you are looking for a matte screen that is bright enough to be used outdoors, the Dell ATG has a 500 nit screen which is usable outdoors. AFAIK the FlexView is not coming back. Lenovo has some refurbished T60s that have the FlexView on their site right now.

you would have to go with vaio's. Thinkpads dont have them currently
