Can someone tell me what Flexview exactly is, and whether the X32 has a Flexview screen or not?
Is there a list of the systems using Flexview anywhere?
Thanks.

The FlexView screen is brighter and offers wider viewing angles. It is only offered on 15" T and R series notebooks.

I am looking at the T4x series for university grad work (also looking at the Dell Inspirion 6000). Is Flexview similar to competiting schemes (i.e. Trubrite, etc)?
Also on a 14" screen is the higher resolution readable compared to the standard 1024 resolution? Is it worth the upgrade for Flexview?
Finally is it worth going for a 15" display (combined with Flexview) ?
Thank you -
Trubrite is a glossy screen, the FlexView is a matte screen. I really like my FlexView cause I personally do not like glossy ones. On a regular matte screen as you turn the notebook off center, it darkens. The flexview does this as well, but not nearly as much. If you can check out some of each type before your buy, I'd recommend it. Good Luck.

Don't know where you are, but a lot of college bookstores carry ThinkPads. Not sure whether they will have FlexView model.

I'm in Toronto
Do you think the Flexview screen @ 1400 resolution is useable if I'm using primarily office applications? -
I'm using mine right now. It seems good to me. If the lettering is too small you can increse the DPI. If you run it at a resultion other than 1400x1050 it will be blurry.

For the 15" version, the SXGA+ would probably be ideal. The text might be a little too small on the 14" SXGA+, though. My 15" XGA has big, clear letters, but more space to work with would have been nice.

A lot of people like SXGA on the 14" screen. I think it would be too small for me persoanlly. Why I'd recommend you check out some before you buy.
