Hello everyone! Long time no see :D unfortunately, the reason I am back is because... I've received my first Blue Screen of Death. Quoted below is the problem Microsoft summarized for me. This is the first serious problem my T400 has encountered over the six months I've owned it.

I believe the problem lies in the USB Flash Drive I've been using, though I am not completely sure. Every time I plug in the flash drive, a screen comes up saying that it is damaged, and must be scanned/fixed. Unfortunately, I cannot scan/fix it because it is "in use" when it's plugged in (or so it says). I used it many times like this so I didn't see any problems coming up in the near future. Now I was only using Chrome for website browsing, when I decided to plug in my flash drive to transfer some files. RIGHT after I plugged it in, the Blue Screen showed up. I have NO idea what any of it means below though.

Edit: And the only thing I recently installed was "PerformanceTest v7.0" which benchmarks my computer's performance. I just uninstalled it though.

    Any help please?

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit. Today I ordered the Windows 7 Upgrade though.

To get the most accurate description of what exactly went wrong and why, you should take your small minidump file, put it in a zip or .rar and post it at http://www.vistax64.com/ forums. They'll get you an answer in no time.

So my take on your post..... you had one blue screen in the 6 months you've had your laptop. Why not just wait and see if it happens again. I've had my laptop with Windows Vista/Windows 7 now for 2 years and have had 1 blue screen. I'd have wasted my time if I got my panties in a bunch about 1 blue screen. Sometimes, wierd stuff happens, the stars align, you know. Maybe it's not something you need to worry about. If you can reproduce it then get involved.

So plug it into a different USB slot and see if the problem reoccurs. BTW I think its your flash drive.
