This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Hi,

    How can I get a firewire port for my T42? Would I need to buy a PC card? If so, can somebody recommend one?

    Yes you need a PCMCIA card. Personally have never used firewire, but this one got four stars on Pricebrabber:
