I have a new R61i Thinkpad and have no need for and don't want to use the Fingerprint function. If I remove the package through the Install/Remove Software in Control Panel, will that cause any problems with the rest of the system?

No it won't. But I would just disable the function, in case you may need it in the future.

Sorry....guess I'm kinda dumb here...I don't see anything there that allows me to "Disable" it.
