This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Only if you plan to use them. I had the fingerprint reader on my T42. I never used it myself so I opted not to get it on my R60.

    The way I see it, the fingerprint reader will just help you forget passwords.
    The webcam would've been nice to have, but as it is now, I have no use for it; I, nor any of my friends use webcams on MSNM or anything... Plus I don't like the aspect of having to be dressed and shaved just to talk to my friends on the computer, LOL.
    Mic: well, don't they all come with that now? It's only needed if you use the webcam since for doing any real recording, you're gonna want a real mic anyway...
