Does the fingerprint reader on your thinkpad get unusually warm?

I have an X200 which I disabled the reader (in bios) due to issues with recognition. It gets a warm, not excessively, but noticeably different than the casing around it.

Who else has this issue? I'm now wondering that even with the reader disabled in the bios, it might still be drawing power...

I have T61. In my opinion the HDD makes it warm. And it's warmer from surroundings, because it conducts warmth better than plastic

My money is on the HDD.

My x200 Tablet's fingerprint reader never gets warm. However, my reader is on the screen bezel and thus decoupled from HDD or CPU heat generation.
