Hi, I was just wondering if a fingerprint reader came standard on all T60's.
If not, would a notebook with 1.83 duo proces., 1GB ram, and a 80GB hard drive come with one?
Thanks in advance.

Some of the low end ones do not have it. I would think it. You can look up the specs by machine type.

The used to signify the fingerprint reader with a "P" in the name. The T60 does not always specify a fingerprint enabled T60 with a "P". A fingerprint reader should be a must as the 10% of all laptops are stolen. With a fingerprint reader and use of all the security features, your thinkpad will be useless to those vagrants who steal laptops around the world. Especially in Switzerland!

Uh, I didn't know Switzerland was particularly known for its ThinkPad thievery.
Maybe, i haven't been here long enough.

the majority of the t60s ive seen have the fingerprint reader built in. very few of them do not and most of the models that are worth buying (imo) have it.
