Ok - so my T61 did not come with the fingerprint scanner because of some mis-communication between myself and the Lenovo sales rep.

    Problem solved!

If you own a T61 14.1" you can order part number 42W3791 which is a new palm bezel that includes the fingerprinter reader and a new touchpad. Ordered it yesterday - got it today and took all of 4 minutes to install.

After installing the Lenovo fingerprint software I can now login to Vista with my finger. Great news!

Now for the question - with my old Sony laptop there was a software that would store all your logins and passwords and allow you to use your finger to login into websites, open up password protected programs.

Does Lenovo's software do the same thing? I can't seem to find anything anywhere to set that up.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Any comments of the use of the utility versus something like roboform?

The Client Security Solution (CSS) is very basic. I have been using roboform for quite awhile, and I though that I might replace it with the CSS app, but I gave up trying quickly as it really just doesn't have the same functionality at all that I was used to.

What I did for a while was use roboform to remember passwords for websites, and use CSS to enter the roboform password via fingerprint scan.
