I was wondering if there was a program within ThinkVantage that would not allow my ThinkPad to boot without a fingerprint scan? I thought in CSS there was an option so that the ThinkPad won't boot without a password but I can't seem to find that either. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or am I just stupid?

I have a T61 and those options aren't showing up in the Control Center. Why is this? It says that all ThinkPads with fingerprint readers can do this, but its not showing up in control center at all. The reader works because I use it to log onto Windows everyday.

Yea I don't see it either. Power-on security is not found in settings. Only system settings. Any further clarifications would be much appreciated.

You may have to enable power-on security in system settings first, I'm not sure.

Yes. You have to go into your bios and create a password and enable power-on security before you can find the setting as listed in the instructions above.
