Its really basic I dont need hardcore stuff, i just wanted it to be lightweight.
I ordered off that student store and the total with tax came to $980, which is about $110 cheaper than the current holiday sale.

Z61t, titanium lid, 5500 c2d, 1gb ram, 60 gb hd, cdrwdvd, fingerprintreader, intel pro wireless.

Hopefully will get it before christmas, because there is a shortage on memory but it will be fixed soon enough

Read somewhere people were fussing about which graphics card is Vista-compatible. If the Z61t is Vista-compatible at all, the integradted card should be fine.

Thought people would take advantage of the "glitch" pricing of memory and go for 2GB at $99 per GB.

I've done a lot of research on the intel gma 950 and it supports windows vista fine even with aero. I work for nvidia, and yet its not as good as our graphics cards it still can run it well. I would spend another $100 on 1gb more ram, but I just dont need it for what I'm doing.

I feel that the glitch is most advantageous when you're going from 512 to 1 GB for just $9. You can always get another 1GB after from Newegg or another 3rd party for less than $99. True current RAM prices are high and comparable to Lenovo's $99 but I'll just wait till they drop again. I bought 1GB SO-DIMM for upgrading a Macbook at $70 in the summer from Newegg.

I'm jumping on the deal, because getting a GB of notebook ram for under 99$ is though enough, and this way the RAM will be covered under Lenovo's warranty, and well, I'm just lazy
