:) With this new laptop but I'm trying to figure out a few things now. I got the X201s with the 6300 3x3 i7 640 CPU and 7200 RPM HDD. It came with 2 GB memory and Windows 7 Professional 64bit. I plan on upgrading to a SSD and buying 4GB of memory. Laptop came with a 6 cell battery and I plan on ordering 9 cell for the road. I paid 12,380 HKD for my laptop in HK.

So far I can't figure out how to open bluetooth on this laptop. Can't figure out how to connect a phone to it either as a modem. Another thing I can't figure out is how to turn off wifi when I don't need it on. Behind the battery I found a SIM card slot and when I opened my access connections I found that I was unable to click on broadband. Under tools I have mobile broadband but it is grey in color and won't allow me to click on it.

Laptop is pretty quick but still slow when compared to my Macbook Pro with the Vertex SSD in it. I have to wait for things to open here while on my Macbook Pro they just pop open as I click on them. Speaker sound is not too bad for a single speaker but nothing special. I like the 1440x900 screen resolution becasuse I use Scottrade and Etrade for trading stocks so this is quite good for me. Laptop seems pretty solid and well built.

did you order the laptop with bluetooth and wwan? The sim card reader is there for future upgrade. Most laptop is shipped without the WWAN card installed, but can be upgraded if the need arises.

I had ordered one with the Bluetooth but the one they gave me was one that another customer had ordered but did not purchase. How do I know if my bluetooth and WWAN card are available on here?

I did not find bluetooth in my device manager but did see bluetooth when I did a search for it but it would not open up.

Thanks. I found that it did come with Bluetooth but I still can't figure out how to open it. On the Macbook it is so simple where you have a bluetooth icon on top and you simply click on it. Can't find it here

Try hitting fn+f5 to bring up the wireless connections dialog. Perhaps Bluetooth is turned off on there.

^^^ Doh! Yes, that is the easiest way to see if you have it. Can't believe that slipped my mind. You can also turn off Wi-Fi when you don't need it from there.
