I just gotta say that in owning laptops since 2002 I love the IBM 760 series. I love the design, reliability and clean looks. I think the flip up keyboard is great, I love having acess to all the drives and batterys in one easy spot, and the batterys on these things are Great I have two 760s one I got in 2004 and the battery still works great and another I just got still gets over two hours. I must say as a workhorse machine you can't find better.
Here are the configs of my 760s

    #1 IBM ThinkPad 760CD
    24mb ram 2.0 gig harddrive 4x CDROM 12.1 800x600 Pentium 120mhz win95
    #2 IBM ThinkPad 760XD
    32mb ram 3.0 gig 8x CD 12.1 1024x768 pentium mmx 166mhz win95

I also had two 600 series and a 770 but none compaired in my opinion. feel free to list your experiences with your IBMS

You do know they make newer ones? My personal fav is probably the T22/23. Sometimes you just hit the nail on the head.
