Just wanted you all to know how dumb I am, feel free to pay me out. So i decided to create some recovery cd's with the recovery partition. For some reason it spat out cd 1 early and asked for cd 1 again. Thinking it would re-burn the image (i.e. cd 1) to the next dvd i inserted i happily proceeded with the procedure, albeit with some skepticism.

So i throw in the first recovery cd and reboot. I click yes after the disclaimer that says that my disk will be wiped clean if i proceed. THEN the recovery dvd fails saying that the recovery.ini cannot be found. Yet that same file can be found on the faulty cd and the properly recorded cd 2. SO i'm going to have to call lenovo and ask them to ship me some recovery cd's. I prioritised my order and got it today only to break the darn thing the same day that I am in dire need of the notebook. I'm getting behind on work because of this.

I'm tempted to just buy the 'it's not cheating' version of win 7 pro for 50 aud just because i don't want to wait for lenovo to ship the discs.

Like I said, feel free to pay me out, or if you are kind, help?

Oh and by the way...when they said wiped clean they really meant it...i have no OS
