My T500's fan makes very noticeable annoying noise (dzi, dzi, dzi,.............).

Actually I have two T500 and both have the same issue.

    Did anyone have similar problems?

What is the best and cost-effective way of addressing it? Open it up? Buy a replacement fan?

Thanks a lot for any input!

    Cheers!

You can try cleaning the fan with compressed air, just make sure to stick a toothpick or a small screwdriver between the blades so they don't turn.

Should that fail to improve the system's behaviour, a replacement fan is in order.

    Good luck.

Thanks so much for your info and advice.

In case I have to replace the fan, install of a new fan is easy? I have never done this before?

    Thanks, again.

Be careful not to strip any screws along the way. Some of them can be a pain to get out. Have a Flathead handy in case the Phillips are slipping.
