    Hey everybody,

I have bought an IBM R50 and installed a dual partition Linux/Windows. When I use my computer under the Linux partition, the fan never stops spinning while the problem does not occur with my Windows partition. The noise the fan is making is pretty disturbing and I would really like to fix the problem. The version of Linux installed is Suse 9.0 and the kernel is 2.4.

    Thanks a lot,

    Damien

    Hi,
It sounds like you don't have all the drivers installed.
You probably don't have all the power management drivers installed.
