Would appreciate your help with a couple questions i've got:

Can the x201 (i5 - 5700 MHD) handle 1080p videos (eg *.mkv files, 8-16 GB) with ease ? Or are there freezes, are the files unplayable, etc.

And how's the fan noise when just browsing surfing the web, using word, idle state, etc. Is the fan audible at all times ? From what i've read in the reviews, x200 seemed to be dead silent, but reading the new reviews about x201, i've got some concerns about noise levels.

    Thnx

There is HD acceleration if you setup your playback properly. MKVs with x264 can be setup to play back with the graphics card. It will handle it fine.

No fan noise, really--just the HDD spinning. If you got a SSD, then you're pretty much running dead silent.
