Recently picked up a dirt cheap Legion Y530 with the i7 8750H and GTX 1050 Ti. After a repaste and upgrading the RAM, WiFi card, and changing out the hard drive for an SSD, it's a decent-performing little machine, except for one thing. At idle, every maybe 5-10 minutes, the fans will kick up to full blast for no reason. This seems to be a common problem with no real solution. I downloaded NotebookFanControl but have no idea where to start with it. I'm hoping someone who knows more might have created a profile for this model that sets the temperature threshold higher. If someone here has one or can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
