    Hey everyone,

Just ordered a Cooler Master U3 cooling pad in hopes of lowering some temps on my Y580. I have a cooling pad I 'built' after scrapping the Targus 17" cooling pad I bought. It's two fans up top both pulled air away from the computer, which in turn pulled air away from the laptops intake vent, and made things worse if anything. My custom rig is too bulky though.

With 3 fans at my disposal, would I be best off having one air into the laptop fan intake, and the other 2 pulling hot air from the HDD and RAM vents? Or should all 3 push fresh air up into the 3 vents?

Thanks for any tips on cooling this thing down a bit!

Not sure if you ever got your answer for your question but I use the U2 and just have all the fans blowing into the laptop.
