For whatever reason (that's another issue), my recovery discs would not burn. I keep getting error discs when I try to make the cds. Finally succeeded in burning the first disc, but then got an error for the second and couldn't continue making the remaining discs. I was able to burn that first disc on two separate occassions, but each time, the process would not complete. What are my options now? I want to do a clean install anyway, when I do that, will I have the option to do the discs again? Can I even do a clean install if I don't already have the discs?

Depends on if you have a recovery partition or not. If you have a recovery partition you could probably still make the discs even if you do a clean install. If not, and you do a clean install, you won't be able to make recovery discs. You could try and contact the place you purchased from and see if they will send you recovery discs since you are having a problem.

Give Lenovo a call and tell them you are having trouble burning the recovery disks. Hopefully they will just send them to you, but they might charge you.
