    Hi,

A few days back, I accidentally discovered the Fn + Space bar feature that magnifies whatever you are looking at on my T61 Lenovo Thinkpad running XP.

The weird thing is that whenever I am in MS Outlook (v2007), edit mode - whether email or contact or anything else, I do NOT return to the normal mode of magnification - it remains permanently stuck at some high level of magnification. In other programs, it does return to normal.

In Outlook, I also see the Magnify button on the task bar - that only shows 130% or higher - not 100%.

Please help - as sending new, responding to received emails has become a NIGHTMARE!!

    Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge, all the Maginifer app does is change your system resolution to 640x480 (vs. native 1400x1050, 1440x900, etc).

Therefore, I would not recommend using it at all, since it doesn't really magnify anything.

But you see, that is the point. I was not trying to use it. It got pressed accidentally - and now, for Outlook alone - and only in Edit mode, it is stuck at one of two low resolutions. It only happens when I am composing a new email or replying/ forwarding an existing one. OR in the Notes part of a Contact record. If I am viewing email in Outlook, it is fine. If I am editing or viewing anything in any other program like Word or PPT, it is fine.

But the moment I get to edit in Outlook, bam! The text gets maginfied many times over - and stays that way!

Any ideas on how I can solve the problem?

    Thanks!

I think Magnification is controlled by the "On Screen Display" device driver. You could try uninstalling and re-installing the driver and see if that corrects the problem.
