    Hi There,

I have a T520 with the FHD screen. The issue I'm experiencing is when I'm navigating between web pages that are light and dark, it takes several seconds for the screen to either dim/brighten from white to black or vice-versa. I'm on battery and have W7 Pro, and using FF 13.0.1

Its VERY noticeable! Is this normal?

    Thanks!

Edit: Its seems this is happening across the whole OS and not just in FF.

    Second Edit: Never mind! http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo-ibm/590578-t520-w520-fhd-display-slow-response.html

It happens on all ThinkPads, you can disable it somewhere in the graphics options or power manager. I don't know why it happens, though, since rendering a darker screen takes more power supposedly, and the brightness is adjusted in software.

It's an Intel graphics power saving feature, and is also present in AMD integrated & discrete graphics settings. Not sure if it's an Nvidia "feature" as well, but in any case, it's usually easily disabled. Check your power settings on battery.
