    FHD is up on the US site for the 510 series. I just placed my order over the phone!

    Finally!

    I just ordered one through CDWG.com. They have all but the 920XM in stock with the FHD, and they are cheaper feature for feature. My order came in about $600 cheaper than a identically configured computer from the Lenovo site. YMMV, but I would suggest investigating...

    I've looked at a lot of pre-configured and none have the config I want. I got a pretty good deal I think though. Right around 1500. I went with the T series. I need mobility and the quad core's are too much of a power suck. Thanks though!

    I went with the middle ground W510 as far as CPU. I got a loaded 820QM, the only option it does not have is the GOBI card with GPS. I paid 2700+ though. Gotta love "NEEDING GADGETS FOR WORK". Were you able to get FHD on a Txxx?

    Yep! Only thing I need now is a color calibrator.

    My ultimate wish would have been to configure a dual core with the 880 nvidia card.... but that's not possible. Ah well. This will definitely be a good upgrade from my T61P!

    Great upgrade from the T61P for me too! The color calibrator, Nvidia 880, and FHD were must haves for me. I wanted the color calibrator integrated, and I was willing to pay the premium for a custom config, if I could not have located one at retail.

    I was initially in your camp as well, but the ability to use an external calibrator on all my machines eventually won me over. Either way, color calibration is a must IMO on this screen. I can't wait to see it.

    I don't know about that. There's a W510 on CDWG.com (i7 820QM, 8GB RAM, 500 GB HD, FHD) for $3962. The same configuration on Lenovo's site is $2909 - and if you pay for it with a VISA card (lenovo.com/visa) and use an ecoupon (USXDADSGRADS) it's $2356.

    Also, the FHD may have reappeared, but the 6-cell battery option is now gone. :)

    By the way, does anyone know whether the FHD currently available on Lenovo's site is multi-touch?

    It isn't multitouch. FHD for the T510 came up the other day, maybe we'll see a multitouch option in a little while...

    My price may be DoD/Fed specific, that's why I indicated that your mileage may vary. I configured the same system on Lenovo and it was $3300+. Also important to note that the system at CDWG has a 3 year onsite warranty as opposed to one year standard. The CDWG product number is 1973907. The price is $2703. FYI: Bad move to buy that much ram in the system... I ordered 16 GB from newegg and my system has only 4 GB...

    @Infinus,
    I can't wait either, unfortunately for me bureaucratic red tape ensues now. I may get it in a couple of months! LOL!

    Current coupon code (USPTHINKSALE expires today) gives a better deal than Visa+coupon combined.
