Sandisk 8GB Extreme III SD Card (I can get one for $40) or 8GB USB Flash?

I'll be mainly using one for music and documents since SSD only has limited space.

I like SD since you can leave it in the slot.

I was thinking the same because USB Flash drive sticks out.

Is $40 good deal for 8GB Extreme III card right now? That was the best deal I could find. I could always use it for my camera too so I guess that's worth it.
