    Hi All-

We know Lenovo is releasing a platform update to the T-Series in early 2010. Just wondering if anyone has heard any rumors/speculation/info on whether or not they will be updating to the new ExpressCard 2.0 standard with that refresh. I know ExpressCard 2.0 was announced early this year with "early 2010" given as the timeframe to see it come to market. Just curious.

    Thanks.

ExpressCard 2.0 won't be in the new Lenovos AFAIK.

how do you know? Did you see the next Thinkpads?

I do agree with you though. Very unlikely that they would adopt it right as it becomes available. Same situation with USB 3.0.

I'm bummed about the lack of USB3, since most estimates say availability in late 2009. I realize these deployments take time, but the timing sucks for people who need to buy sooner. USB doesn't update every day like the rest of the hardware...

well there should be Expresscard USB 3.0 adapters. I don't know when USB 3 will come to laptops, but right now I can't even take advantage of USB 3.0. Not much stuff seems to need 3 or more gigabits/sec.
