I am waiting on my new T43, but received separately the AC/DC air/car/wall adapter that I ordered to go with it. Seemed kind of heavy to me (over a pound), so I thought I would check into alternatives. Although all of the alternatives also seemed heavy, I noticed that the IGO 7500 setup would allow me to not only charge the T43, but also would work (supposedly) with a range of other devices, includng PDAs, phones, digital cameras, MP3s, etc. so long as I got the necessary tips if they were not already included.

As I sometimes travel with all of the above, I thought it might be a good alternative. Does anyone have any experience with this or another simimlar kit? How did it work with their Thinkpad? Comments?

yup, i use it on my thinkpad t40 and have used it on an x41 i recently had, it came with an adapter for it and did not have to buy it seperately. it works fine, and i've used it for charging a t68 cell phone as well...it's a size you'd expect for a notebook power adapter but it's obviously larger than a typical cell phone or pda charger...but if you can toss 3 chargers and take one on the road then it's certainly worth it.

now let's hope that t43 hurries up and arrives for you [ ;)]

Thanks again! I really appreciate the help, and will definitely send my IBM/Lenovo adapter back within the 30 day free look period.
