OK, I've finally killed the rescue and recovery prompts and turned the service off, thank goodness.
I had also renamed one the password registration processes so that it wouldn't execute at boot time. It was requiring a lot of processor time when I have the webbrowser up. It's the one that try's to read passwords from the browser and prompts you all the time.
Anyway the other night, I received a download from lenovo, about 58 megabytes. Not only did it replace that process but now I have some new functionality from the security department. Everytime I logon with the fingerprint reader, I receive a security prompt telling me that my password has been changed recently (it hasn't) and to please give me a password. It's a rather dumb process because you can hit the cancel button and it will cancel! Now that's great security <eyeroll>.
I don't know where this is coming from but would love to turn it off. Any one know how? This is definitely a lenovo process.

Does the screen start flashing violently blinking red and the keyboard melts into vomit? and then blood and green saliva oozes from the sides? I think the only way is to just kill it or hold a mirror in front of your lappy?

Does the keyboard type by itself 666 on your screen or does the cam take a pic of you with 666 on you forehead? Keyboards ooozing with green sputum and speakers playing tunes from the gates of hell?

The lid also opens and closes and attempts to cut your fingers off when typing?
