    Hi everyone

    I often read about user returning or exchanging the laptop. Say I purchase it from IBM EPP, paid for shipping and didn't like it. Will Lenovo pay for the return shipping and ship me another model of Thinkpad? And no restocking fee of any type?

    There are no returns with EPP.

    What about not buying it from EPP? What would happen?

    I'm likely about to purchase a T60, and I posed the return policy question to my rep; here is what she said (and I quote):

    "The restocking fee is something that is entirely up to the warehouse depending on what condition the laptop comes back in. It is 15% restocking fee if they decide they are going to charge it."

    not exactly a black-and-white definition.......

    ps. this refers to a regular (non-EPP) sale

    You may exchange it if it defective, but there are no returns.

    Nooorm, as I stated, that is a direct quotation from a Lenovo sales representative; and that policy page seems to refer solely to new, unopened packages (which *might* even entail a 15% restocking fee); if this, thus, implies that *opened* packages are not at all eligable for return/refund, then my sales rep has provided contradictory information;
