    Hi guys,
I am going to receive my thinkpad x220 in next few days but I chose 4-cell battery ( i want it is lightest in weight). I wonder whether it is enough for 4h working. Have anyone got get that experience? And how about 6-cell battery?

And in case of this 4-cell one doesn't good enough:
Do anyone want to my 4-cell battery, I want to exchange for 6-cell:
PS: I am in Italy, Europe and the computer will arrive my home in next few days

    Thank

From several reviews, I know the 6-cell does about 7 - 8 hours on a charge (probably more with lower brightness). Sorry I can't tell you about the 4-cell. I myself got the 9-cell and can easily get 11+ hours :D

What settings are you using to get 11+? I'm not getting close to that?

it might depend mostly on how you use it. i read the "song of ice and fire" all the way on a 6 hour train, with maximizing battery life checked in power management, and the 9 cell battery had more than 60% left when the train stopped. :)

To get that 11 hours out of a 9 cell I usually have to turn down Brightness all the way to 1 or 2, and potentially WiFi will have to be off as well depending on what I am doing.

i think the 7 to 8 hrs is the more realistic figures for 9 cells battery under normal use.

According to Lenovo the 4 cell is 29Wh. How you use it will make or break getting the 6 cell. Can you give us an idea of how you will be using the laptop?

Engadget got 7:19 hrs on the x220 with the 6-cell, brightness at 65%, running an SD video in a loop.

I get 10+ hours using it normally with wifi on, surfing, watching netflix, and with brightness WAY down (used in a dark room so it doesn't really matter). Even video out-ing with the displayport my battery indicator barely budged after a couple of hours (using only the tv as a display)

that seems long, my friend can only squeeze around 8 hrs out of it with the wifi on and screen at 50% brightness, he was on platter hdd though.

are you using factory windows 7 image?

i am still waiting for my X220 to get delivered to me.
