Even if i set the Power Manager settings to charge when at 90% and max charge at 100%, it stays at 100% when plugged in.....

i thought the power manager was supposed to drop the charge to 90% even when the AC adapter is plugged in so it doesnt keep the battery charge at a constant 100% to extend its life, does anybody know if its SUPPOSED to show 100 at all times even when its set to cycle or whatever its supposed to do?

That's not what the charge thresholds do. It doesn't drop to a certain charge. Whenever you plug it in, it will either charge or stop charging, but not discharge. When your notebook battery life is below the lower charge threshold and you go to plug it in, it will continue charging until it reaches your upper charge threshold. If your notebook charge was anywhere between the charge thresholds, it will not charge nore discharge; it will just sit at that battery life.

So in your case, I assume you have a 90/100 charge threshold setting. This means whenever your battery life is below 90% and you plug your notebook into AC, it will charge to 100%.

If this is what happens, then your battery and software is fine.

And as Lithus said, please do not create threads about the same things. If you still need assistance, please just bump your other thread. And remember, only one bump per 24 hours. Thank you.
