Just a quick question to Europian users of the forum.
I am living in Greece and thinking about ordering a w520 from a European outlet (lenovo.de or lenovo.uk).
Is it possible to charge the billing address to Greece (invoice) and pay the Greek equilevant of VAT afterwards? (Which is a mindblowing 23%...).
Shipment address isn't a problem because i have friends in both countries that can ship it to me afterwards.
Thank you very much in advance.

If I recall if you buy it from another EU country you won't need to pay any fees on top as you already paid the respective value added tax in the host country, nor any customs fees too [ source]. So the price you see on Lenovo DE or Lenovo UK is usually the price you pay as long the goods are for personal use and not for resale.
The question depends whether Lenovo accept international addresses or credit cards that is not from their native country, i'm not 100% sure if this is the case in the EU member states for Lenovo. -
Is there such thing as EU outlets?

To explain the question a bit more, the problem is if i can change the billing address and subtract the VAT from the price (possibly after contacting the sales department?). I am a professional based in Greece and have an international VAT registration number.
Shipping address would be in Germany and the VISA is a prepaid card with no address registered so it shouldn't be a problem.
I have contacted [email protected] but i haven't got an answer... (maybe there is another mail that i should try to contact?)
