I am enjoying my first few days with the Yoga 2 Pro. It is the first notebook I have ever owned that has not had an Ethernet jack, and while I am trying to wean, I suspect there are times when I'm going to want to move a 2G video file and wish for the comfort of a cable.

If I needed to connect via Ethernet, could I? Is there Ethernet via USB available? Many thanks.

Yeah, you can just pick up any USB-to-Ethernet adapter that you fancy and use that instead of the wireless. Not going to be as fast as actual Ethernet though, since it'll be limited to whatever USB type you're using.

Many thanks for the quick reply, Jarhead. If I use the USB 3.0 port, that would help, yes? Are there specific adapter types or specs I should look for? Or brands you like?

I personally haven't used an adapter like this, so I can't really give a helpful opinion as to which brand to check out, sorry.

As for USB, using 3.0 should certainly help over 2.0, since iirc Ethernet is quite a bit faster than USB 2.0.
