    Hi,

Im planning to buy a t420, but i will upgrade it with a 300gb SSD, so it will leave me the stock HD to doing backup stuff, now, heres my question:
Should i put it on ultrabay(with adapter, which leaves a gap) or on hdd external enclousure(esata)? Which one is faster?

In the last case, what would be the specifications of the external enclousure(2.5", 3.0",etc)?

speed should be the same if you are using only the SATA II drives. The internal hdd is a 2.5 inch drive, so you would need a 2.5 inch eSATA enclosure.

If you rarely use the optical drive, having the ultrabay caddy and hard drive rocks. It sure beats carrying around a hard drive enclosure.

People should stop worrying about the gap. Michael Strahan did. :D
