    Hi,

Since buying my X301 I've been looking for a connection manager as I find Access Connections to be a bit of a pain to deal with.

After a lot of reading I found that you could use the Sony Ericsson M400 Wireless Manager with the F3507g mini PCIe card. I gave this a try but could never get it working as the Sony Ericsson Wireless Manager would always state no wireless adapter found.

After a lot of tries I un installed Access Connections and it worked.

So to get this working you need to uninstall Access Connections, reboot and install the latest M400 Wireless Manager 5.3.2076.12 available here http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/mobilebroadband/download/wirelessmanager/md400?lc=en&cc=ap

The best thing about the Sony Ericsson Wireless manager is that it works with the X301 hardware in which it powers on the card when you launch the application and powers it off when you close it. There's also other options to automatically connect to your network when you launch the application as well. Much better than Access Connections in my opinion.

I hope this helps others looking for a wireless manager for their F3507g cards.

The Access Connection on my T500 wasn't working with my T-Mobile sim card in the F3507 Mini on Windows Vista Business x64.

I installed Windows 7 X64 two weeks ago and since then it's being working like breeze.

If you try upgrading to Windows 7, it might solve your problem

I never had any user issue with Access Connections, its just that I prefer a card specific manager with my WWAN cards. The program was just fiddly when it didnt need to be.

I always found that the Sierra Wireless Watcher application was much better when used with my old MC8775 and T61.

I also find this the case with my new F3507g and the Sony Ericsson manager.

Some days ago I updated to the new RTM version of the F3507g drivers. Now nothing is working anymore. Before Wireless Manager worked perfectly, now it says "No mobile broadband modem".
Does anybody else experience this problem?

    Win7, x64, Wireless Manager 5.2.2076.12, UMTS driver version 1.0.0.52

    hi

Are you referring to the ones listed here http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-70000 ?

If so Ive upgraded to the same ones and Im using the v5.3.2076.12 SE Wireless Manager here http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/mobilebroadband/download/wirelessmanager/md400?lc=en&cc=au without any problems.

I've found that Ive had to uninstall Thinkvantage Access Connections to make the SE Wireless Manager recognise the F3507g card.

With Access Connections installed I get a 'card not found' error as well.

We did indeed. Discussions about surgically implanting WWAN, WUSB, and antennas into our T61/T61p's.

I've actually removed the WUSB card from my T61 before I sold it and now its happily living in my X301.
