    Hi All,

I want to erase a hidden partition located in my IBM T41 Laptop. This hidden partition called HPA (hidden protected area), how can I erase this partition?

Note: Partition Magic can't recognize this type of partition.

    Please help. Thanks.

    Regards,
    Raymond

    Raymond,

Hit the blue 'Access IBM' button when the machine boots up. Go into the BIOS and hunt around for the option to turn off the hidden area. It's in there somewhere - can't remember where, but you'll find it. Set it to 'off' so that regular tools like PM or cfdisk can see it. Then delete that crap and get back some space!
