This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Enter key acting strangely

    For some reason, my enter key seems to need me to hold down on it for a few seconds to work. For example, in Google, I enter some words, and then I need to hold down the enter key for a second or two before it "clicks" the search button. However, in the URL box in my browser (firefox), I can hit the enter key normally and it works fine. In Microsoft Word as well, I need to hold it down. This started a few minutes ago and I have no idea why. It seems in most places it has this problem, and just in the URL bar it works normally.
