Alright, so a few days ago my C partition was wiped. I'm not entirely sure how, but I assume it had something to do with my dual booting experiments. Anyway, I immediately booted from a CD and copied everything on my D drive to an external HDD and tried to do a factory recovery, but apparently my recovery disks were a bit damaged and it didn't succeed. I then tried hundreds of times to install a fresh W7, and I managed to get it working, but as soon as I restarted Windows it died again and apparently the C partition was empty again. Now, it doesn't even want to install anymore, it just hangs at Expanding files: 0%.
Also, I still have the files from the recovery partition on my external HDD, could I somehow make the recovery media again from another laptop?
And is there any solution to windows refusing to install? The disk is alright, I downloaded a legitemate installation (at least it's supposed to be legitemate, and nothing bad happened when I typed in my activation key =P ) and verified it, so the solutions I found such as burning the DVD at the minimum speed probably won't work.

If someone could answer quickly, it would be great, since I need my laptop for school.
