I've been looking into aftermarket options for t61 owners who are unhappy with their screens, and it seems like Ebay is chock full of sellers offering t61 displays for $150 or so incl. shipping. Seems like a steal compared to screetekinc, which charges over $400 for many of its models.

What's the deal with these screens? Anyone have any experience? Here's one offering a "high gloss" 14.1 screen with a warranty: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-IBM-LENOVO-...VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247

Are there any other ways of buying aftermarket screens this cheap that include, say, a satisfaction guarantee?

Generally, if an LCD shares the same connections and dimensions as the one on the T61, they'll fit. That being the case, you could get a "glossy" screen for much cheaper with a bit more research.

Much cheaper than $150? Are you referring to a glossy coating being applied to an existing screen?
