Hi Trainee,
I have been following this thread for a little while now, but I may have dragged my feet for a bit too long. Are you able to get any more laptops on your EPP? I am specifically interested in the x41 (25285FU). Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi,
I am new to this forum and do not know how this works but I wanted to buy a IBM 2687D7U T43 . Could you please help me to buy it at a cheaper price. I am a grad student here and any saving for me would be a big saving . I would be really thankful to any of the employees for their help and be highly appreciated. -
I believe trainee has reached his maximum for EPP discounts. However, there are other ways to save some money on a ThinkPad:
1.) Since you are a grad student, ask at your school about IBM's educational discount program or look here:
http://www.ibm.com/education/us/
2.) Think Express models (preconfigured ThinkPads, as opposed to build-your-own) are discounted by 10% for Visa and Mastercard holders who access the web site through these links:
Visa - http://www.IBM.com/businesscenter/visa
Mastercard - http://www.IBM.com/businesscenter/mastercard
The EPP price is the best, but it's hard to get. IBM's web price for a T43 2687D4U is $1749. Visa/MC discount price is $1574. Trainee listed it for $1312 with the EPP. -

Guys, why don't you at least read the last post of the guy who posted this? He said he was not going to give the code to people who just joined the board and finally as far as I remember he said he was going away for the holiday and he most probably reached the limit.

Hi,trainee
Would you please give me your EPP code and your name and let me be your friend?
I am intended to buy X32, but I need a referal.
Great thankx. -
Sorry, trainee:

I've already ordered my T42, but I am curious to see what kind of discountI could have had. It hasnt shipped yet so maybe if the savings are considerable I can cancel and re-order.

Hm... I think I know an IBM employee. Must check!

Hi. I know this was started in August, but I'm definitely getting a laptop, and I'm absolutely drooling over the high-end Z60M. I can get certain things (e.g. memory sticks and laptop cases) at reasonable prices elsewhere, so it seems like it might be a little less burdensome to emplyees and IBM/Lenovo itself if I only upgraded the company-specific components, so "here goes": Model #: 252902U; base model at $1,499. With Lenovo-specific upgrades (added 9-cell battery, Trackpoint cap collection, and 3-year depot service and warranty), comes out to $2,118.99.
I also like the G and T series a lot, but a widescreen would be nice because of my writing method.
Also, own6volvos, my family has two 240's, two 1800's (OK, my dad needs to fix them a bit), an 850, and a 960. My 850 got totalled when I was T-boned at an intersection. Any other car, and I would have been dead; I ended up sore for a few days and got an airbag burn on my arm. I have no plans of getting any other make of car - ever. I know this is irrelevant to the board, but I think of this story as a sort of public service announcement.
Regards,
Howie -
Hi own6,
I should have read the thread in full - earlier, trainee said that teh 2373m3u was not available, but then someone else said that they did get 30% off via EPP. I dont know what the base price was.
I paid about 1700 for the 2373m3u. The price was listed via the Visa discount link, though I actually paid with a mastercard I just called up the thinkpad order line and told them i saw that price and they gave it to me.
I'd really like to know if I got the best possible deal or not. If anyone else bought a 2373m3u via EPP, please do let me know what you paid. thanks... -

Hi. Can anyone please provide me with an EPP login code? Now that I know something like that exists, I can never buy an IBM paying full price. Being a student anyway I couldn't.
Please Please let me know of any tips and tricks I can use to get some nifty discount on my anticipated IBM/Levano.
Thanks a million. -

The model I selected is comming to $1664 without S&H. How much would it be with an EPP or a student discount?
-
Unfortunately, student discounts are only (right now, at least) if your university has an agreement with Lenovo/IBM. My university for next year does not.
-
I am looking for Z60t model. Can anybody please help me with EPP code. Please..please..Thanks in advance.

-
me too!!!!!!!!!
-
I have no idea if this is active, but nevertheless, an EPP code to save money on a Z61t would save my life!! My friend, for whom I am getting the laptop for, would certainly appreciate the saved money!!
THANKS SO MUCH! -
Actually, there is currently a back-to-school sale which in most cases is very close to the Employee price ($100 difference).
I was amused by this thread because there is a small limit on the amount of product available to an IBM employee, per year and per month. For obvious reasons. I dunno about lenovo employees tho, that might be different.
The other thing you should know, the Employee shipment is NON returnable, period. No matter what, even if unopened.
Go for a model on the current sale, an extra $100 off isn't worth the "final sale" non-returnable condition. -
