    Hi,

I have done a clean install of W7 x64 on my T400 and all works fine. However I have a nagging problem that the logon screen defaults to the fingerprint only screen. I want to have the screen where both fingerprint login and password login is available by default (ie the screen you get once you click on Switch User), but have no idea how to make it so.

That screen was the default screen that I had when using Vista and it works so well, I just have to press enter to just password login or swipe my finger if I choose fingerprint login.

Strangely, another user had the same issue but in the opposite direction (ie wanted the fingerprint login but stucked with the two login option screen).

I actually have your issue as well. It's compounded by the fact that the beta fingerprint drivers seem quite slow. I'd like both options as well, and this wasn't a problem for me with the RC of Win7 like it is with the RTM.

Mine usually pops up the finger print reader. You can just hit ECS and you can choose what login method you want. Or you can just always slide your finger print even if it shows the text based login.

It isn't a big deal to me. When I am docked I just hit ECS and if I keep doing that from idle the OS seems to recognize I want to type in my password vs fingerprint. But I am sure there is some sort of registry tweak someone will figure out.
