Hi everyone, I ordered the T61P 14.1 inches and I would like to install XP Prof and Ubuntu Linux. So I would like to ask, how should install, should I install XP Prof first and then Ubuntu? How should I format my drive? Does Ubuntu support Windows formated drive? Thank you.

In my personal experience doing this, it's usually better to install Windows first and limit its partition size. Because Windows usually doesn't play well with Linux, but most Linux installers I've used will accomodate for it. So you install Windows first, then let Linux sort out how the two can co-exist. Linux and Windows will have to be installed on separate partitions of the drive because they do not use the same file format. Here is a site that does a step-by-step guide through dual-booting WinXP and Ubuntu: http://www.hezardastan.org/breezy_xp_dualboot/en/index.html

try Virtualbox if you have a good config system. it works either ways (Host - XP, Guest - Ubuntu, or Host - Ubuntu, Guest - XP). Currently I am running Host - Vista, Guest - Ubuntu, and it works great.
