After much fiddling around, I find that you can simultaneously use the displayport out on the R500, T500, W500 and the DVI out on the Advanced Mini Dock at the same time.

While, this information is useless for most people, it may be useful for people whom are after high quality digitial video out solution for setting up their external LCD. i.e. U2711 on the displayport and U2410 on the DVI out on the Advanced Mini Dock.

From personal experiences i find that the Digital video signal produce less screen artifacts than a comparable analogue vga out at high screen resolution.

P.S. This will only work on the laptop with discrete GPU version (i.e. ATI 3650 on the T500, ATI 3470 on the R500). I will try my friend's intel gpu version of the T500 and see how it fairs.
