Guys, I am located in India, and unlike US, here we have plenty of options from Lenovo to get a non-preloaded ThinkPad. Makes sense for those who wish to exclusively run Linux or have an existing Windows license key. So the scenario is this - when I open the 'Drivers and Downloads' page for ThinkPad Edge 15 under Windows 7 OS, on the Lenovo India website, I get a list 40+ items. Most are unique but some are version upgrades. How does one go about installing all these. What order? Apart from the standard - BIOS->Chipset->Graphics->Audio->Network... there are a number of other tools. For e.g. there are two camera drivers - for 0.3 and for 2.0. How does one find what exactly to install? In case of a laptop with pre-loaded OS, I would first make a careful note of the Add-Remove programs module and also the devices listed in the device manager to avoid confusion. But what should be done when you have little prior information.
Is there a Lenovo provided utility that I can install directly after installing Windows that can grab all the stuff thats applicable to my machine from the cloud (including BIOS)? If there is such a utility, where can I find it for my specific system say
ThinkPad Edge 15 030187Q, and how reliable is this tool, is it mature enough for use on Windows 7 32/64 bit?

Install ThinkVantage System Update. It knows what drivers your system needs if you don't.

I used this guide to do a clean install, but yeah you could just download system update, run it and it'll do everything for you.
