    Hello,
I hope that some one can help because I just gave up on IBM help!

My Vista OS had crashed very bad, I don't know what happed but nothing could recognize my HD so even when I tried to restore the OS (using the Think Vantage option) even that wouldn't work.

So I decided on installing XP (I had no choice, the laptop didn't came with any Vista CD) I guess that one of the mistake that I did was to delete the backup partition!

so right now I'm using XP but the OS just don't recognize the video and sound hardware! all of the shortcut buttons don't work (the blue Think Vantage for example).

I really need some help and i SPENT hours in the IBM web, trying to find somewhere to DL the drivers but I just can't find it!

    Thaks

Well, depending on your laptop model, XP drivers may not exist. What youll probably have to do is call IBM and ask them to send you recovery CDs to restore your system.

For your own good, first check if such drivers exist for hardware which you need. You may have a little suprise when such driver will not appear. But all in all it is worth all your work to have XP cause it is just simply faster and more compatibile than Vista.
